English Paper Piecing (EPP) workshop with Karen Thomson

Put down your phones, step away from computers, TVs, and tablets. Take a break from the hustle and bustle everyday life in this slow hand stitching workshop. Slow hand stitching is all about stitching with intention and being absorbed in the moment.

The only skill you need for this workshop is to be able to thread a needle and sew. All you need to do is choose your fabric pattern and colour combination.

In this workshop you will learn the historical quilting technique of English Paper Piecing (EEP). We will make coasters in the workshop, however once you’ve mastered the technique it can be adapted for larger projects.

You will receive a class handout with all the information you need, and all materials will be provided for you, just bring yourself.

I’ll have a cash pop up shop on the day with packs made up if you would like to continue with some EEP coasters at home.

We ship our orders using the Royal Mail. We will send a shipping confirmation email once your order has been shipped. 

Do you offer local delivery?

Do you offer in store pick up?

Yes. You can choose this option at checkout. We will email you once your order is ready to collect. This is usually within 3-5 working days.

We have a 30-day return policy for shop items only, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. Please note this does not include any of our tickets or activity bookings, these are all non refundable and non transferable to another day.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at sales@cowdengarden.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. We cannot refund shipping costs and return shipping will not be covered by the charity.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalised items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
